Easy White Frosting Recipe
Super easy and fast White Frosting Recipe Great to frost cupcakes or cake. Make any color with a few drops of food coloring!
TIP: Don’t have powdered sugar? Put granulated white sugar in blender on high for a few minutes until it’s powdered! White sugar is cheaper than powdered confectioners sugar too, so this can be done just to save money!
Store-bought frosting can be pricey. I almost always make my own frosting because it’s so easy and cheap! Here’s a favorite recipe for easy white frosting. You can use this on your favorite cake, and even throw in some food coloring to get whatever color you want! Shown above, we made a whimsical Dr. Seuss, Cat in the Hat cake and put a little red food coloring to make half of the frosting an antique pink!

Ingredients
- 1/2 C unsalted butter, softened
- 3 C powdered sugar
- 1 t. vanilla extract
- 2 –3 T milk
Instructions
- Beat softened butter with a mixer (hand or stand) mixer at medium/high until creamy.
- Slowly add sugar.
- Add vanilla and milk, and beat until smooth.
